Abacus Plumjbing Air Conditioning & ELectrical is currently seeking Electricians to join our team comprised of creative and energetic employees, who are dedicated to delivering the best customer service experience every day.  Our Electricians manage the completion of various electrical tasks such as electrical break & repair, troubleshooting/maintenance, and service upgrades while providing exceptional customer service at ALL times by treating customers with the utmost respect and attention. This position will provide general electrical repair and services with an emphasis on quality of work, performed efficiently and following all applicable local and national codes.

 

The Electrical Service Lead Technician will perform all duties of customer interaction, sales, and installation for the company pertaining to Abacus’ high-end residential electrical services. On a daily basis this role will assist other technicians in technical questions and will work with the service manager on a weekly basis to assist with management duties and will be the backup for the service manager.

Qualifications

Do I Have What It Takes?

  • Minimum of five (5) years of residential electrical experience with a consistent and reliable work history; sales technician experience preferred
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean record suitable for insurance approval
  • Active Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license registered in the State of Texas
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications, including Word and Excel
  • Physically capable of lifting over 75 pounds, climbing in and out of service vehicles, and working in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments, including extreme heat
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces, including on ladders and rooftops
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, handling tools, speaking, hearing, standing, reaching, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as required by the job
  • Maintains a professional appearance, including clean uniform and work shoes

Responsibilities

What Will I Do?

  • Troubleshoot and repair residential electrical systems in compliance with National Electrical Code standards
  • Perform remodel wiring, panel board and meter box replacements, and read electrical plans accurately
  • Maintain a clean, efficient, and organized work area to enhance customer experience
  • Educate homeowners on upgrade options, estimate repairs, and invoice projects accurately
  • Document completed work with before-and-after photos and ensure quality control
  • Train new hires and assist technicians with technical questions and field support
  • Support management with office duties and serve as backup for service manager responsibilities
  • Oversee fleet compliance and inventory stocking levels on a weekly basis
  • Demonstrate safe working practices and be available for long hours, including weekends and on-call rotation
